I am a Polish-Canadian scholar in the field of sound culture, a musician, and artist always looking for a happy convergence of different strands of human creativity and inquiry. I studied the piano before defending my interdisciplinary Master’s thesis on R. Murray Schafer’s concept of the soundscape, later getting involved in creating visual art and funk-disco music. Far from being an ivory-tower intellectual, I believe the best results are achieved when art, thought, and pure fun melt into each other. Having studied and experienced various adventures both in Poland and in Canada, I am now a resident of Montreal. This anti-blog section will present my art projects and short cultural analyses. Its conception is currently a work-in-progress, but I hope that I will be able to shape it by crafting some pieces worth your interest. For the time being, I expect to post whenever a new work or idea comes to fruition, in keeping with the idea that the best work is achieved by treating working time organically.
